Wasn't it Art Kramer who posted about Kodak vs Sony market share
in the rec.photo.digital newsgroup last week? it was. Might or might not be the same guy. |

I'm not saying he's lost it; we can all have a bad day, even people half-or a third-his age. I have nothing against the guy, as I said, he seems quite lucid and informed on many topics. At risk of going way off topic on a subject a lot of people here particularly dislike, a _lot_ of companies built both the M1 Carbine-designed by a felon behind bars!-and the M1911, John Moses Browning's late in life baby. The .38 Wadcutter only firing version was for PPC match shooting and was first made in the late 50s or early 60s-Jim Dougherty talked with me about it in the eighties. He's gotta be Kramer's age-he was in high school with Jane Russell. My point is that when dealing with people much past their early to mid seventies, the "oldtimer's factor" has to be factored in, in a way that won't upset them. Some of the old guys are really sharp and others just out there, and some it's on a day by day basis. |
