Default mold on a 105mm lens

My favorite lens in the world, a 105mm fixed focal length Nikkor macro, has
developed some kind of mold in the inside of the lens.

Any ideas as to how I can get rid of this or do you figure the glass is
etched and basically it's now just junk?

Thanks,
Chris

If you got to it quick enough and it's not in a bad spot, a qualified
repairer can get rid of it. I wouldn't suggest having a go at it yourself.
