And I see most marketing motives as evil. "Sabotage" exactly fits
deliberately crippling a piece of hardware. I feel the same way about
computers (long ago) that could be made twice as fast by cutting one

so you get the top performance for the budget price. cool. not exactly a
con is it? its the hardware manufacturer that loses out.
