Default HURRICANE PHOTO HELP UPDATE

On Friday August 13th, The Cape Coral Art Studio along with much of South
West Florida was hit by Hurricane Charley,
yesterday 8/23 I was allowed inside the building to ascertain damages to the
photo Darkroom we just installed, No use of the building is allowed pending
a decision to repair or tear down and rebuild.

It is amazing how fast rats will inhabit an unused structure, I guess they
were seeking high, dry ground. Despite the animal activity, I got a good
look at the darkroom by flashlight ( well its a darkroom, isn't it?) and
have determined the needs to re-establish the photo program. All the
chemicals were in liquid state and survived, however we are in need of 3 or
four good 35mm or medium format enlargers with neg carriers ( such as Omega
B-22, Beselar C23-II, 6x7 etc) and lenses, easels, timers, print dryers,
tanks and reels (ours are bent from impact) both 35mm, paper trimmer, mount
press, paper safes, desktop or laptop computer and a lcd projector.
Really just about anything to get established again would be welcome.

Please contact me at photonhero @ hotmail . com for additional info

ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE AND YOU WILL BE GIVEN A TAX RECEIPT FOR THE
IRS

I will provide shipping information to the art studio offices as the studio
itself is not allowed to be open, (our parking lot was used for an ice and
food distribution center)

I do appreciate all the good words and messages sent but ask you to go one
step further and help out, The big boys of the Red Cross, Salvation Army
and FEMA are restoring living conditions in our area, I am trying to
restore the quality of life in our area. You folks in the photo community
can help your fellow photographers in a very real and personal way.

If you can help, Bless you, if you were hit by Charley, Bless you too.

Thank you again

Mark
