Video conferencing, probably. I've never been a big fan of it. Too

Yes, that's gotta be it, though it may also be for the hundreds of
thousands who think a lack of a camera is a real issue. It wouldn't be
for most, but each feature that's added will appeal to some segment. And
each feature added will alter the nature of this undefined beast.

I've used it on a couple of projects, its a heap easier to send real time
video back to the man paying the bills of how the builders are ****ing him
over than trying to explain in a few still shots sent via sms.
My old Nokia N80 had 2 cameras, one was for video calls and the main one on
the back, it was a simple option switch to go from one cam to the other.
Though carrying something as big as the iPad for that seems a bit much,
especially considering it cannot make regular cell phone calls.

To tychill67, you do realise that the iPad DOESN'T have a camera built in
though many of the competition do, sadly the list of things the iPad doesn't
have is longer than the list of things it does have.

Neither can I.

I suspect that most of the people who are enthusing about the iPad
merely want to fondle one rather than actually do something real
and/or useful with it.
