Default Sony DSC-H3 vs Nikon P5000 vs Canon G9

Anyone try the new Sony H3 yet? It looks like a G7/G9. How does this
one compare to Nikon P5000 and Canon G7/G9 ?
I thought Nikon introduced the P5000 line to compete against the G7.
However, I noticed that the price of P5000 has been dropping
significantly lately. Does a new model come up soon to replace P5000?
I have not seen H3 in the market yet. I am still mulling over the Sony
R1, but the price is too high for a non DSLR. There is one store in
town which has one in stock and has been sitting on display for over a
year. It is more expensive than the Alpha model, and it is a 2 year
old technology. Whatever happens to the non SLR cameras which has
large sensor? Like Canon pro1, Sony R1, perhaps some Olympus and Fuji
models? It shows that they can make non SLR camera with larger
sensor. Unfortunately, this product will compete against the entry
level SLR and people seem to lean against the SLR for the same price
range.
Picture quality, sharpness and colour richness - How do the H3, P5000
and G7/G9 compare?

Instead of asking every day which camera is best, and opinions of each,
maybe you should research the spec of whichever cameras you can afford,
then see which features you like/ dont like, then make up a shortlist of
3 or 4 from the list.
You could then do that strange thing nowadays - go to a camera store,
and see which you like best there.
Then buy it.
Alan.
