Question about 300mm Nikon lens
"Richard" wrote in message ... 300mm f3.5. Looks like a smaller f2.8. It's not in the Nikon Compendium. Does anyone know when this lens was released? It's older, manual focus. I have never heard of this lens (and I thought I had listed all Nikkors, at www.donferrario.com/ruether/slemn.html), but one never knows...;-) If it is truly an f3.5 and not an f4.5, and if it originally had a Nikon F (SLR) mount on it, it would be rare and valuable... The f4.5 versions are not uncommon (or exciting performers) except for one: the non-IF f4.5 300mm ED, which is both valuable and superb. --David Ruether www.donferrario.com/ruether |
