Aren’t you supposed to be getting your eye-ball polished today? Thanks for asking. It was done. I have vision in my right eye, thoug as expected, it is blurry. Doc says I don't need the dark glasses indoors, but need to wear that plastic shield. Is that blurry due to the shield? For me all was bright, sharp, and clear when I unveiled the following morning. Regardless, I recommend a good pair of sunglasses for those outdoor excursions. I just hope that the experience was less traumatic for you than you anticipated. -- Regards, Savageduck |

The blur is caused because I did not have a vision correction lens placed in my eye, and or course by the plastic shiled. It is as I anticipated. I have an appointment tomorrow with the doc, so he can make sure -- PeterN |

It should be optimized for distance vision, and you will probably still need readers. I got toric replacement lenses which correct for astigmatism. They also cost me an extra $4800, but so far I am more than satisfied. I haven’t seen this good in over 40 years. -- Regards, Savageduck |

Professional and prosumer photographers need DSLR. Prosumer = Professional consumer??? I could be that. Anyone hiring? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prosumer You're welcome. It's a vomitrociuous term (not bodacious). Anecdata suggests it was invented by banksters or other followers of Reaganomics, imagineered to exploit affluenza. It's been a ginormous success - exceeding guesstimates. Due to the hideosity of the word, and irregardless of the confusion it may cause the digerati, I prefer the portmanteau "Confessional" camera. Agreed, it is a repellant word. Not for the left-wing ideas put forth, but because it appears to confer greater talent or knowledge on the part of the buyer of a "prosumer" camera than a non-prosumer camera. I've known people who owned five-figure gear who didn't know what the F--- they were doing with a camera. Meanwhile, Dpreview has people who are accomplished but not professional photographers just moving from things like the Nikon D5100 only now. No, not an attractive sounding word, and, as with many words, can be misused. However, it conveys a clear meaning to me, and therefor I will allow it to exist in our language. I allow it to exist in my langauge. That I forbid thy! -- teleportation kills |
