Centering prints from 2200 in Windows
Hi,
I'm just starting to print with an Epson 2200. So far, things are working pretty well. Just now, though, the printer takes more blank paper than it should, then, starts printing with the resulting too-large left margin and finishes up with no right margin and a good bit of image missing. This is from 3 applications including Irfan View and Paint Shop Pro. Have taken the "center image" option in both the app and the Epson window and used the "minimize margins" check box that I read in the Epson faq. Still no luck. Any ideas for correcting this? Thanks, Bill |

Usually, that means you've got something set wrong, e.g. the application thinks the image is larger than the paper and is trying to print on multiple pages. I've given up printing from "applications" and only use Qimage to print with. IMHO, it's the right thing. But it's complex in itself, so the learning curve is significant. David J. If the job isn't centered in the preview, then it's likely something to do with the way you are using (or limitations of) your software. If it is centered on print preview but not when it comes out of the printer, then it's going to be something to do with paper size selection or paper feed in the printer. |

Also check if there is a margins setting or a borderless setting, it certainly makes a difference in PhotoShop. |

Thanks, Bill Hi. Another item which might give rise to this, could be the print size being larger than the Maximum Printable Area for the Paper in the Printer, but you should be getting a Warning dialogue. You certainly would in Photoshop. This can be avoided by selecting "No Margins" in the Printer Driver, but that will then limit your choice of Print Media. Roy G |
