If we wait one year....
Will we see DSLRs incorporating all elements available only across
many different manufacturers as of now? For instance, Olympus has ultrasonic CCD window cleaning of dust, but no image stabilization. I'm wondering if both these attributes will become a standard in a year's time? -Rich |

Just a guess, but I don't think Canon will include IS in their camera bodies any time soon. That would probably crush the market for their expensive IS lenses. |

You can wait ten years and they might serve ice cold martini's. Seriously, there are patents and licencing issues. Manufacturers generally want to avoid paying royalties/licences, so they have to find their own ways to solve specific problems. This is bad in a way (all the variations result in different behaviors across brands); this is also good as innovation is a pillar of competition, benefitting the buyer. In the end, if you wait for the perfect camera you'll never get it.
