Red text puzzle
I'm puzzled why red text which I use to annotate or title my images
usually appears blurred on my PC screen, yet when the same JPG is printed the red is perfectly sharp. Here's an example: http://s154.photobucket.com/albums/s...x2-Extract.jpg -- Terry, West Sussex, UK |

Here's an example: http://s154.photobucket.com/albums/s...action=view&cu rrent=TuesHighGE-Approx2-Extract.jpg Text requires sharp edges, and when you make red letters on a CRT (or flat-panel), the edge resolution is determined by only one-third of the available pixels, and their position is fixed on the face of the display. With printing, there can be as many "pixels" as needed. Isaac |
