A question for Applefans

It's a Model A1387, which - according to the web - makes it an iPhone4S. there was no need to take the otterbox off. as i said, a 4s has the headphone jack on the top and a 4x4 grid of apps on each homescreen, either of which would confirm it was not an iphone 5. you could also have gone into settingsgeneralabout and obtained the model #. That it's a 4S and not a 5 or whatever hasn't made any difference to me, and I'm no better or worse off for the knowing. apparently it does matter you, since you bitched about having two different connectors. if it was a 5, both your phone and ipad would have the same connector. Yes, I did think that was a scam. I wasn't aware that newer models had the same connectors. But, having known that at the time of purchasing the devices wouldn't have affected my decision. You said in an earlier post that you thought I had a 5. Actually you made that guess in your second post in this thread. That remark confused me. If so, why would you have accepted my statement that I needed two different connectors? Knowing you, you would have yammered on about me buying the wrong cables. So, it seems you weren't aware the pad and an iPhone5 take the same connector. That would have depended on which iPad you had. You didn't tell us and you were still guessing as to which iPhone you had. As I said I have an iPad 2 with the old 30-pin dock connector, and an iPhone 5S with a Lightning connector. And you can charge them both at the same time if need be. I don't no why the hassle that both cords should be same. Hey, folks, get a life. --- news://freenews.netfront.net/ - complaints: --- |

Does this mean you aren't interested in the iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S+, or the iPad Pro? Presently, no. As I've said, owning the newest shiny object is not my thing. Should I need a new phone or iPad, I would - of course - consider them. I don't expect that I'd choose the 6S, though. I'd go for the smaller 6. A large display area is not a feature that interests me. Pocket-size is a more important feature to me. The 6S is the smaller of the two, the 6+S the larger. Both were announced this morning. http://www.apple.com/iphone/compare/ -- Regards, Savageduck |

Both were announced this morning. http://www.apple.com/iphone/compare/ My first mobile phone was hard-wired into the automobile. My second was a bag phone. My third was a Motorola brick. From there on, each phone became smaller and more compact...and, as far as I was concerned, more convenient. Yup! My first cell phone was a Nokia brick which was never going to fit my shirt pocket My provider was the pre-Verizon GTE. The trend seems to be reversing. While the weight and thickness don't seem to be increasing, the width and length do. By the time my youngest grandchild gets a phone, it may be the size of my flat screen monitor. I think that mobile phones have reached their practical dimensional limits, and one should remember that the iPhones and Android smartphones are much more than basic communication devices. The sensible thing to do if all that is needed is a basic communication device, is not to buy a smartphone. -- Regards, Savageduck |

No, I'm not au courant on phone models of the various makers of phones. I see no reason to be. nobody said you had to know the various models of the various makers. the point is that you didn't know the model of *what* *you* *bought*. |

Good morning or good evening depending upon your location. I want to ask you the most important question of your life. Your joy or sorrow for all eternity depends upon your answer. The question is: Are you saved? It is not a question of how good | Rôgêr | Digital Photography | 0 | April 21st 05 03:32 PM |
