Default 150 G-Claron filter solution

I just got a G-Claron hand-me-down.

Date code places it in mid-70's vintage.

Most data I see, including Schneider 'archiv', say it uses a 35.5 mm
thread.

An occasional seller lists them as 40.5, but that doesn't seem right. I
haven't measured mine yet because I couldn't find a ruler and the
battery was dead in my caliper. I should have just 'eyeballed' it, but
for a 5 mm error...not the main question anyway.

Say it is 35.5...finding a 35.5 to larger seems to have few options. I
thought maybe 35.5-40.5 so I could use the Xenar 135 filters.

Or a 35.5 - ? - 49 & use dormant 35mm cam filters.

What do you folks do (that's relevant to the question)?

Thanks

Murray

B&W make a 35.5-52 step-up ring if you're into 52mm filters. Not cheap,
at around $24 from B&H last I looked, but it solves the problem...

Thank you.

Got a battery for the caliper...lens front cell o.d. is very near 37
mm...I might look at an unthreaded ''outie' solution (push-on?) instead
of a threaded 'innie', too
