Yeah, I know what you mean. I want the 17-85 IS lens, but I can't see
dumping that over the 28-135 IS when I can get the 17-40 f/4L for the
cost of the 17-85. In any case, no new lenses for me. If the 350D ends
up having near the image quality of the 20D, I'm going to upgrade. The
10D is nice, but I honestly don't use the expensive parts of it.

Please tell me why you would consider the 350D an upgrade to the 10D? I
really don't understand what you expect to gain by doing something so
foolish?

Why would you think upgrading to the D70 would be an improvement?

With the 350D I can get faster shooting speeds, lower noise at high ISOs
and more resolution.

So I lose a pentaprism and a magnesium alloy body. BFD.

Yup, that's why I buy Canon glass.

From the Canon D60??? Everything was an upgrade! I am quite satisfied with
the Nikon D70. It's the one I was waiting for from Nikon.

I have obviously been living under the false impression that the 10D and
its subsequent incarnations had noiseless 1600 ISO. An extra 2 million
pixels is not worth "upgrading". If you can't get decent prints from a 6
megapixel camera, you're doing something wrong.

Better exposure? Curious as to what factor makes you say that, since
I'm not sure where it could have gone. Lighting, yes - time and opportunity

lens from further back, but hey...
