Default G7 4 day time lapse photography?

G7 4 day time lapse photography?

Can this be done? How?

All i can find is the custom self timer which allows 10 shots to take
place with 30sec intervals, but no setting to allwo time lapse
shooting.

DPreview says:
Photographers can also take advantage of second curtain flash
synchronisation for creative flash exposures, while interval shooting
(up to 100 shots in 1-60 minute increments) allows for extended time-
lapse photography of up to four days.

So does that mean when you are using flash sync you can use the time
lapse?

Thanks in advance

No. DPReview didn't actually write that. It appeared as part of
a Canon press release that appeared as a DPReview news item. The
press release is talking about two independent features, second
curtain flash synch which is covered in the G7's manual, and
interval shooting which isn't. See page 152 where the manual
indicates:

Computer Controlled Shooting
Shooting possible when connected to a comuter(sic) using supplied software.

A limited number of Canon's other cameras (such as the A620) can
be controlled by non-supplied software which Canon sells separately.
If the manual can be believed, this control software is not an
optional extra for the G7, so if you can't find it on a supplied CD,
call or email Canon's tech. support to ask "what's up?".
