I can't help you but this might help put things in perspective.
I've also been looking for an FZ30 for some months now.

I've seen the offers at eBay (USA), but I live in a remote
corner of India where buying from outside the country involves
too much hassle. eBay-India has never had an FZ30 for sale
since I started looking - practically everyday. I finally found
a used one through an India-based forum and it so happens that
I sent him the payment today.

I paid the equivalent of $450 US including a 1GB card, camera
case and shipping - about the same as the grey market price of
a new Sony H5 in India. The owner assured me that it's in mint
condition.

By another remarkable coincidence, on the very day that the
owner of the FZ30 and I settled price and terms, a used FZ30
was put up at eBay-India - the first ever since production
ended and stocks dried up. The asking price was about $600 US
+ shipping without any accessories. It was snapped up within
24 hours.

I consider myself lucky to find one for US$450 and am keeping
my fingers crossed, hoping that I'm dealing with an honest
person.
