Default Kodak DX7440 date lost

Greetings,

There is a small power source inside most cameras that will last long enough
for transitions of power supplies etc. If batteries are left out of the
camera long enough, then the date and time will have to be reset.

Talk to you soon,

Ron Baird
Eastman Kodak Company

I heard someone said that they lose date and time settings when they
take the battery out for recharge. I have a DC3400 that doesn't do
that with the AA that it uses. But it only takes less than a minute to
change battery.

Thanks Ron,
I brought the DX7440 a few days ago and It does fine if I just take
out the battery and put it back in. But I guess the two hours it takes
to recharge the battery is too long and I have to reset the date. It
is a good thing that all the other settings does not have to be reset.
I guess it store those in the internal memory. As long as it is only
the data and time, it is not a big deal.

Thanks

Either a spare battery, or a dock could save you the trouble, and a
spare battery is just a good thing to have on hand.

A Spare battery, a case, and a LCD protector would be my next
purchases since I got the free 128mb memory.

I have not found the LCD panel to need additional protection on my
DX6440. Have been on two vacations with it so far and it is not
scratched at all. Of course if you are working under difficult
conditions, you may need one.
