Adobe can't handle Canons Dual Pixel RAW, At least not yet:

Dual pixel RAW is an idiotic idea to begin with. That said, third party
software can't handle any new camera raw until they ship out support for it.

And when they support DPR, they're probably only going to support them enough
to open them, not actually use the DPR data in any capacity. Which is fine, DPR
sucks anyway.

Dual pixel RAW is an idiotic idea to begin with.


it's a clever idea that has potential.

at least they're not calling it a 60mp camera, like sigma would have.

That said, third party
software can't handle any new camera raw until they ship out support for it.


obviously.

And when they support DPR, they're probably only going to support them enough

It has the potential to create new headroom for highlights and such in
conjunction with the new analog to digital on chip converters.
