See Nikon? Clasping hands over ears and repeating, "I can't hear, I can't hear..." only works for so long

Hardly a data set that defines the whole market. http://www.sansmirror.com/newsviews/...ood-first.html Good news, but that doesn't say Sony has overtaken Nikon on an annual basis. I have no dog in this fight; only factual information. I shoot Oly now. So Olympus is the greatest thing since sliced bread. :-P No the greatest thing since then is the ring pull on cans. So you're out of Canon now? Yes, and have been for quite a while. I dumped all the FF gear and moved to m4/3. I was shooting a Panny GX8 but when they introduced the GH5 it was pretty clear that video is their priority. Also, the Olympus E-M1 II had some features for still and action shooters I really liked. I sold the GX8 and bought the E-M1 II. And it's a killer cam. And as much as I respect the addition of pull ring on cans, it's not above sliced bread on my list. But close. |

This has been discussed ad nauseam and the conclusion has always been that the mFT is really quaterframe vs fullframe and that those sensors are silly small and that are clearly visible in output from qualified post processing. Not that it can't be handy with smaller sensors but do not expect high end results below APS-C, halfframe sensors. If you want smaller than that use your phone! Bigger is better. I've seen those discussions about 4/3 vs other sizes, and it's all nonsense that a4/3 sensor, which is only slightly smaller than an APS-c sensor, can't produce great images. If you can't get great images out of an Oly e-M1 I, give up. http://www.43rumors.com/from-medium-...-narusevicius/ |

If you can't get great images out of an Oly e-M1 I, give up. Aye, same here. I used a D200 Nikon for many years. And a 7200 for less. Now I use exclusively m4/3 (a em5MII and a Em1) and quite frankly the m4/3 stuff beats the crap off everything else! Honestly, I recently made a big print (3' x 4') for a friend, and it looks stellar. I have no need for a larger and heavier system. Anyone who claims that they can't get good images out of m4/3 probably wouldn't be able to get good images out of a Nikon D810, either. But hey, to each his/her own. If someone enjoys shooting a Leica M9 to get snapshots of their kid's birthday party, have at it. |

Otherwise you need a wider angle lense. -- Regards, Eric Stevens |
