35 MM SLIDE SCAN/ PRINTED UK ADVICE WANTED
Martin Jones wrote:
Hi, can anyone here help me out, I need 7 35MM slides scanned or printed. Which is my best option? Jessop's do an instore service, dose anyone know how good this is? Any advice, would be great, or maybe if you could do this job, I'd be happy to pay, I'm in the West Midlands if that's any help If you find no other solution, I can scan them for you. Consider registered shipping to Germany, 1 DVD or 3 CD-Rs (if scanned at 5400 dpi 48) and about 1 hour of my time + registered shipping back. Again, not the ideal or cheapest solution, but if all else fails... |

If you intend to print up to 12x8 (inches), then the scans will be almost adequate. There are online services who do higher quality scan work for about $1 per scan and return the slides and a CD to you with the result. Better, find a local photo club and ask if there is a member with a high quality scanner who can do it for you for a nominal fee. Should be cheap enough and look good. You can order both prints and the disc at the same time, or the disc only and then use a graphics program on your computer to make them look the way you want, then burn those onto a RW disc, then have them printed. -- })))* Giant_Alex cravdraa_at-yahoo_dot-com not my site: http://www.e-sword.net/ |
