Another resource for the LF photographer can be found at:
http://www.dunnamphoto.com under the button labeled "groups". Find a group in your area and contact them. While books, web pages, magazines can be invaluable. They are no substituteSP? for actually going out with other LF photographers and making exposures. In the case of the midwestlf asylum we generally have monthly photo outings. A large part of each of these outings is time spent exercising social skills. This includes exchanging ideas, finding solutions to problems one or more are having, etc. What better way is there to learn about LF photography then to go out with a LF photographer with 30+ years of experience? Yes and I can vouch for the quality of people you will meet,
I have been running the Baltimore DC group and the guys in my group are outstanding and eager to help, discuss and have fun shooting so if your out there wondering where to start someone is willing to help you. Thanks to Steve Simmons as well for making space in View Camera free of charge for these groups. And thanks most importantly to Sherman for coming up with the game plan and providing the space on his site.
