I'm guessing these two are either Nikon or Canon users, and I'm supposed to
know which, and find it amusing. Unfortunately, I know their work, but have
no idea what gear they use. mea culpa, guess that disqualifies me from this
group...

George Lepp uses Canon .. so I suspect that's the common denominator.
