automatic slideshow with acdsee or irfanview
Hello.
Is there any way to use acdsee or irfanview to create an automatic slideshow upon insertion of a cdrom, (containing the slideshow viewer as well as the images that are to be shown,) with an autorun.inf file? Can any commandline arguments be given to specify what images are to be shown and in what sequence? Thanks in advance for any feedback, kind regards, Niek |

This is possible with Irfanview Does Irfanview create an autorun.inf file or does it have to be created manually? Can any commandline arguments be given to specify what images are to be shown For the first one, yes. Great. and in what sequence? You can use MyAlbum to batch rename them in the right alphabetical order. But if you're going to use MyAlbum anyway, it can do all you want and is much more powerful as far as slide shows are concerned. http://perso.wanadoo.fr/myalbum/ Is it possible to use MyAlbum to extract the date when digital photos were taken from the attributes and create a filename from that to sequence images based on creation date? |

Yes, it is possible to rename photos by their EXIF data. For a slide show with MyAlbum however, this won't be necessary, as MyAlbum will display the photos in any order you want. -- Onno |
