EOS10D focus problems

Hi All

Having some problems with autofocus on an EOS10D using 24-70 F2.8 L series
and 70-200 F2.8 L series.

With both lenses, the autofocus works fine when they are near the top of the
zoom range (above 50mm and above 150mm), but is much less sharp when near/at
the low end. As is it two different lenses on the same body, my thinking is
that the camera is out of spec, rather than both lenses. The problem has
been there for nearly two years but with I have typically sharpened the
images to "improve" the result.

So, any thoughts about what it might be? Canon service just wants the
camera for a month without any suggestion of problem type or repair cost....

Try a different, independent Canon accredited service centre. I had my 10D
recalibrated in 3 hours at Lehmanns in Stoke-on-Trent, UK.
