Do you know how fast the Epson prints a photo? I was looking at the
Picturemates and there are several models to choose from. Have they
been on the market longer than the Canon photo printers? Epson uses
more colours than the other printers so are their photos a better
quality than the rest?

You're right ASAAR.

Epson's printers really come in at the low price point. Very attractive
for their feature set. I've seen some really good prints from
PictureMates. The thing about Canon is that they market their printers
really well. But in terms of performance, well I'm not so sure.

Epson is one of the oldest desktop computer printer manufacturers. But
this should not be relevant to your decision. Color printer
technology is a rapidly changing field. Canon makes excellent printers and so
does Epson. I own an older Epson 1280 and have been very pleased with
it.. to the point I see now reason to replace it, Canon does promote
heavily but they usually have substance to back it up.
