You haven't heard of FOX and our expat Rupert Murdoch then :-)

Of course I have. I didn't say ALL the press are left leaning--some
more than others, just the majority. There are still plenty of sources
for news that hold balanced, neutral reporting in high esteem.

That almost made me spew my beverage over most of my immediate work
area.

You include Murdoch, his pit bull Roger Ailes, and FoxNews as a news
source that holds balanced and neutral reporting in high esteem?

Biased to the right yes. Balanced and neutral? They are as balanced and
neutral as any left leaning news source. You would be hard pressed to
demonstrate a balanced opinion anywhere in FoxNews reporting. Just
because they use the term in their slogan, does not make it so.

You misinterpreted.

I didn't mean to imply I regard Fox as a "neutral" source. Quite the
contrary. I consider Fox News no more unbiased than CNN or MSNBC. Fox
just "leans" in the opposite direction. Perhaps that last sentence in my
posting would have been clearer as a separate paragraph.

That would be laughable if it weren't barf!

What right wingers don't get is that since the Watergate era (perhaps
the Vietnam protest era) the mainstream media has become critical of
everything in high government where before that the media was dependably
right wing (whether strongly or lightly).

A shift to neutrality (or even just "slightly right") appears as if
they've become communist propagandists to the thin skinned.

Because so many on the right seem incapable of understanding a "left
hand" view of a topic, it is much easier to spread the myth of a
"liberal" media (not really understanding what "liberal" means - but
that's another topic).

Hence Faux News becomes popular with the right.
