Vivitar Series 1 24-70/3.8-4.8 repair

Me either though I've disassembled some lenses and not always got them
back together ;-) OTOH, sounds like you've got nothing to lose at this
point. The rubber grip can probably be slid off after poking some thin
plastic under it and there might be screws there. The one I had the
worst time reassembling was when I unscrewed the focusing helix, I
couldn't get it to mesh back together, so don't take apart more than you
have to and watch out for ball bearings in the aperture ring!
