Default NIKON Coolpix - Changing image date

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I have done some searches and cannot
find a solution.

I recently re-set the date function on my Coolpix 2100, wrongly I have
entered 2006 instead of 2007.

Is there anyway I can correct this mistake within each image file ?,
have tried using 'Fotostation 4.0' which came with my camera but no
success.

any suggestions welcome

thanks

Exifer offers this functionality, but I found the actual entering of the
date offset, and the user interface, to be very confusing, and I never got
it to work correctly.

Since then, I've looked at, but not used, Microsoft's free utility,
Photoinfo, seems to be much more straightforward. I would give it a try
first:

I have done this with Exifer. Not really intuitive, but possible.

Mike,
thanks for your suggestion .... I have looked at the microsoft website
but Photoinfo appears to run on Win XP and Vista only. I should have
said in my post that I am running Win 98 SE (and very happy with it),
sorry for that.

Any other suggestions will be most welcome

thanks

[re changing EXIF image capture time]

Any other suggestions will be most welcome

There is always exifer, which is a good utility in general, with a rather
obscure interface for modifying the timestamp. Copy a few images to their
own folder rather than modifying your originals until you've figured out the
rather quirky interface that it provides for offsetting the EXIF timestamp.
