Default iPhone SE: A powerful new smartphone in a popular design

In response to what Your Name wrote :

Nope, it's the "iPhone SE" and is now been officially announced.

Apple Marketing is extremely smart, and deserves much respect.
o They're calling it "*The _new_ iPhone SE*" in this video (emphasis mine)
https://youtu.be/SQIbeAk-bFA

"Black. White. Or red. In a small 4.7” design. With studio-quality
portraits. Sharp 4K video. Long battery life. A13 Bionic - the fastest chip
in a smartphone. And the security of Touch ID, with privacy built in.
iPhone SE. Lots to love. And less to spend."

They then point to the main marketing page for the new iPhone SE:
o https://www.apple.com/iphone-SE

Apple markets the new iPhone SE at that page as:
o Lots to love. Less to spend.
o Starting at $399 (from $9.54/month or $229 with trade in)

"iPhone SE packs our most powerful chip into our most popular size
at our most affordable price. It's just what you've been waiting for."

Then we get to the features list, in the order & words Apple employs:
o Durable glass and aluminum design
o Brilliant 4.7" Retina HD display

Then Apple describes the CPU in layman's terms:
o iPhone 11 Pro called. It wants its chip back. A13.
o (The "A13" literally explodes in your face with a zoom out effect)
The words Apple employs are critical since they're smart. Real smart.
"We put the brains of iPhone 11 Pro in the body of iPhone SE.
A13 Bionic is the fastest chip ever in a smartphone, period.

Then Apple describes the camera in layman's terms:
o Smile, you're in Portrait mode
"The advanced camera system with A13 Bionic brings you Portrait mode,
which artfully blurs the background to put the focus on your subject
even when you're taking selfies."
o Depth Control: A simple slider lets you blur the background as much
or as little as you like - before or after you take the photo.
o Portrait Lighting: Choose from six studio-quality effects.
o Next generation smart HDR knows a face when it sees one.

And then on to the video in layman's terms:
o High, high, high, high-definition video.
o 4K video means you'll see four times more detail than in 1080p HD video
o And extended dynamic range adds greater detail in highlights and shadows
o QuickTake: When a photo op turns into a video op, you can instantly
start recording video by just holding the shutter.

Now on to the home button in layman's terms:
o Home sweet Home button (image of a fingerprint zooms into the screen)
"Touch ID lets you securely unlock your iPhone and sign in
to apps instantly. You can even use it with Apple Pay to grab a coffee, get
a yoga app, or shop for sneakers online. All without reaching for your
credit card."
(Cue the hoi polloi germophbes' fears being quenched!)

Now on to Apple's stance on privacy in layman's terms:
o All the iMessages you send are encrypted.
o Fingerprint data is stored on your device
o Apple Pay doesn’t share your credit card number.

On to physical things, like waterproofing in layman's terms:
o Survives splashes, sloshes, sprinkles, sprays, splatters, and spills.
"iPhone SE is water resistant to 1 meter for 30 minutes.2
It's not afraid of a little coffee, tea, or soda either. And dust?
No worries."

And about that battery life, in layman's terms:
o iPhone SE lets you watch up to 13 hours of video on a single charge.
o When you do need to power up, just set it down on a wireless charger.
o Or connect to an 18W fast-charge adapter to go from zero
to up to 50 percent in 30 minutes.

Now for the operating system, the (infamous) Apollo 13:
o Built for iOS 13. And beyond.

And about those "beautiful" colors:
o Comes in Black. White, and Pow. (Yes, they use the word "Pow").
(I think "Pow" is red because the screen is all red at this point.)
PS: Why on earth are those "beautiful" colors anyway? Oh well.
The one thing Apple Marketing knows is how its customers think.

Finally, the marketing description closes up with "Even more great stuff".
o True Tone
Dynamically adjusts white balance on the display so images look natural and
are easier on your eyes.

o Haptic Touch
Press and hold an icon for shortcuts and a slight
vibration makes it feel like you’re pressing a real, physical button.

Augmented reality
Run the latest AR apps that
let you measure real‑world objects, map constellations over the stars, and
more.

Stereo audio recording
iPhone SE records videos in stereo to make the sound as engaging as the
picture.

Faster Wi‑Fi and cellular data
Wi-Fi 6 and Gigabit-class LTE can deliver much faster download speeds,
whether you’re on Wi-Fi or cellular networks.

Audio Sharing
You and a friend can both
rock out to the same playlist by pairing two sets of AirPods or Beats
headphones to one iPhone.

Dual SIM, dual numbers
Dual SIM with eSIM lets you have both a business number and a personal
number on the same iPhone.
--
No word on when the "fastest chip ever" will inevitably be throttled; where
facts shows iOS 10, iOS 11, iOS 12, and iOS 13 all added throttling
software to the previous generation of iPhones, so, maybe iOS 14?
