Default Can C-mount lens be adapted in some way to a 35mm camera?

Well, enough said in the subject. I thought maybe I could use the lens on a
videocamera, but anyway....

Sergio-

If you can find a T-Mount adapter for a C-Mount lens, it should be
possible to attach it to a mating T-Mount adapter for your 35mm (or
digital SLR) camera. That doesn't mean it will be of much use.

I understand the C-Mount system originated for use in 16mm movie cameras
and is now used in some video cameras. As such, it may cover a smaller
field than the 24mm X 36mm of 35mm film cameras. The film plane-to-lens
mount distance may also be a problem for use on 35mm cameras if focus to
infinity is needed.

If I am mistaken, and the C-Mount system was used with 35mm movie cameras,
it probably covered only the smaller 24mm-wide frame. It may not be
useful for the 36mm frame of film cameras, but might be OK for smaller
digital SLR sensors. However, you might still have the problem of film
plane-to-lens mount distance being too great for infinity focus when the
adapter thickness is considered.

The flange to film plane distance for c-mount is 0.69" or 17.526mm.

People sometimes use reverse mounted 16mm cine lenses with
a bellows for extreme macro work.

Thanks, maybe I'll try to sell the lens on eBay ;-)

This is roughly half the flange to film plane distance of 35 mm cameras,
which ranges from about 25 to 45 mm.....
