anything can bend if you put enough pressure on it, including your
laptop and cameras, which can be damaged with *less* pressure than an
iphone.

But you can't accidentally apply that much pressure to a laptop or
most cameras as a result of putting them in your hip pocket.

you can't with a phone either.

you'd need to slam your ass into a hard-seat chair with the intent of
damaging it. if you sit normally, it's going to feel uncomfortable
before anything is going to bend.

the point is that anything can be damaged if that's what you want to do.

iphone 6es are comparable to other similar size phones and *less*
pliable than the htc one m8, which nobody has a problem with and
considered sturdy.

Despite your assurance, I will be putting my iPhone6 in an Otter case.

Before you go the chunky Otter Box route, consider one of these:
http://www.newtrent.com/store/iphone-case.html

I keep things simple and well protected with a nice, clear, non-bulky case.
https://db.tt/IXcOJk6v

...and I am also looking at this offering from booqbags.com. They don't
have an iP6/iP6+ version yet, but I am sure one will be along soon.

Thanks for the information. I do not baby my equipment. I agree the
Otter Box is clunky, and it's big disadvantage is no protection for its
screen is abilable. I have to replace it about every eight months.

Then you are excessively rough. My clear case gives me a reasonable
amount of protection for my iP5S, and mainly picks up a scratch or two
on the back of the case from being placed on table/counter/etc.

Are the other cases as sturdy as the Otter?
I would like to feel the case before I purchase one, so I will go to a
brick & morter store to look at them.

If you can't wait for booqbag.com's iP6 offering to get a tempered
glass screen protector, Verizon has one.

As

does Zagg.

....and

TechArmor, but they are already sold out and need to restock.

i saw that early yesterday, possibly late the day before.

at least they owned up to it. that makes them a little less stupid.

Nobody claimed, in this discussion, that Apple was not an ethically
respnsible company.

you should read the link before spewing your drivel.

the link (which you snipped and put back below) was about the teens who
went into an apple store and videotaped themselves bending an iphone.

they later said they realized that what they did was wrong and will pay
for the damage. *that* is the topic of discussion.

Update 2:35PM EST: In a follow-up video, Kylie has apologized for the
misguided act and says he takes full responsibility for the broken
iPhone. He also clarified that they only damaged a single iPhone
during the Apple Store trip; the multiple takes are reportedly of the
same device. The article has been updated to reflect this.

All irrelevant, to my statement that nobody in this discussion claimed
that Apple was not an ethically responsible company.

then why did you bring it up?

You did. " at least they owned up to it. that makes them a little less
stupid.."

i was referring to the teens, not apple.

I said that nobody said otherwise in this thread, and you started with
your typical diaherra of the mouth.

you brought up apple being an ethically responsible company. i did not
mention that *at all*.

this is about the stupid teens, who at least owned up to their mistake
of vandalizing.

now it's time for you to own up to your mistakes (plural).

once again, you're wrong.

otterbox makes many cases, some of which have built in screen
protectors as part of the case (not a stick-on) and others include a
stick-on screen protector.

you might try reading them.

I can't. Neither can anyone else. You have deleted the links.

you posted the links. do you not know what you posted?

Funny that.

funny that you did not read them before posting them.

Not funny that you deleted them. I'm sure you didn't do it tomake
things easier for other people trying to follow this thread.

i was responding to on one of them. the rest were superfluous.

But they weren't irrelevant. That's why I had to refer back to them.

not for what i wrote because i didn't comment on any of them except for
the one i left in.
