Default Largest B&W Neg Film Size Available?

Hi,

I'm thinking of returning to B&W darkroom printing after a long
absence - I especially like the quality of contact prints from large
B&W negatives. Can I still get 8"x10" B&W neg film? Is this the
largest size - any chance of getting an even larger size? Thanks.

Nelson.

Yes, 8X10 is commonly available. You may not find it at the local camera
store, but many professional outfits and mail order shops supply it.
Several kinds (including varieties from Kodak, Ilford, Bergger, EFKE, and
probably others) are available. Some still make larger sizes. I've seen
Ilford film in 11X14 and 20X24, and EFKE in a wide variety of sizes up to
20X24. I know J and C stocks the big sizes, and others probaby do too.
