Default photo buddy and iphoto lost all photos and have black cirlce with explainition point

I installed photo buddy and now I get no thumbnails and an black
circle with an explanation pioint for all photos.

I suspect its a problem but how to fix it and recover the photos?

Tom

I can't get to them via picassa nor will imagebrowzer work from canon
