Cropping for Panorama pictures
One of the features of a Panasonic FZ50 camera is it's ability the
menu settings to crop 4:3, 3:2 or 16:9 aspect ratio. I never realized the potential of this until a few days ago when I got to play with Doug's cameras. Doug gave me his 20D before he left and although I'm sure it take great pics, I'm still a novice with it. After discovering the value of aspect ratio cropping, I made a template to view a scene with to get an idea of how different aspect ratios affect a picture. This is my first attempt. I used a 5D and Sigma wide zoom but I think a 20D still has the resolution to support Doug's interpolation process and get a decent sized print. The 5 D certainly does. http://www.ryadia.com/POD/July/08-07-07.htm JA |
