He can be counted on to make comments, usually snide, regardless of
whether there is a factual basis.

Yes, it was probably clear, but I've been known to criticize others
for choosing the wrong word or phrase so this is a case of my own
petard blowing up in my face.

Besides, I don't get at all offended by being called out on an error.


Nobody should, but the means of it are something else.
