Not way this is off topic, if in fact this is a "FILM" group. It
might be right or it might be wrong but it is on topic. Well ok to
put it really on topic Bret should have said that "35mm" FILM is dead.

So how will people refute Bret's statement, well some will tell us how
much film they have in the freezer.

Some others will tell us about their great film gear and all metal
bodies and lenses (that would be the metal camera body not the
photographer's).

A few like Harry L. will show us that film is not dead but actually
showing us real photos that he has taken with film, go Harry. Just
one of Harry's photos speak far more to the subject then all the
ranting from others who want to tell us just how many rolls of film
they have frozen. Oddly the people who best show that film is not
dead seem to complain the least against digital.

Film is not dead. Infact, I'm going to take 5 rolls of Astia fresh of
the B&H wagon to Hawaii. Of course, I'm taking the 20D too. :-)

I still have 80 rolls of Velvia 50 in the freezer. Until all the
freezers are empty, film ain't dead.

Get over it.

Do you fret as much over the size of your penis as you do about film being
"dead" ?

You should really try getting over your purchase choice insecurities
instead.

Worked fine for me last week.

Didn't you use your stuperfendist EOS 1FCKnv, or whatever it's called,
and post here to tell about it not too long ago? Talk is cheap. Give
me that camera and only then will I believe your conviction that "film
is dead". After all, if film is dead, it's worthless.

I HAVE gotten over it. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to defrost a couple
of rolls for tomorrow's shoot . . .

Of course the subject of Harry's pics died 36 years ago ... about 30
years before film died.

Hardly, of course. But *film user* participation in this forum largely is.
Sorry to disappoint the remaining audience, but Elvis has already left the
