Which other 6x6 folders took 11 frames?

I just got a Super-Ikonta B 532/16 and was quite surprised that it only
takes 11 photos on a roll of 120. What other 6x6 cameras was this true
of where the mechanics limited you to 11 frames?

No, all other 6 x 6 folders gave 12 frames. The fact that the Zeiss
Super-Ikonta (532/16) gives only 11 is one indication of the superiority
of the Zeiss design.

It's a shame Leica didn't do one giving only 10 frames. That would have
been an improvement.

A lot of the things Zeiss did over the years was in reaction to the
competition from Leitz and Rollei and others - who got there "firstest
with the mostest". Leitz and F&H set the bar, Zeiss had to react to it -
and fast - which explains some of the "Larry Lightbulb" products they
came out with. I will probably be trashed by the Zeiss Zealots for even
thinking this, but that's my take on Zeiss and some of their oddball stuff.

Ach. I was thinking of the 533/16. I have one right beside me. It goes to
12.

According to the articles, mine is a BX, but I see no stampings anywhere on
the camera to indicate that.

Didn't Rollei and in part, Leica use Zeiss lenses?

Larry Lightbulb! Gosh, that's a funny image. What Zeiss cameras were Larry
Lightbulbs?

The Ikoflex for one.
