Which has what to do with "Polycarbonate claims another victim"? Some people to respond unfavourably to long term contact with heavy metals - e.g. Stainless steel watch bands - but the necessary lengthy contact is unlikely to occur with a camera and certainly wouldn't occur if the camera is coated with rubber or plastic. Is there Once upon a time a village lost its idiot. Then the idiot was returned to the village by people in a remote town. After a while the village procurement department put out a call for tenders to replace the idiot with a better model. Since nobody could provide an idiot acceptable to the village, the village voted to get their idiot a computer with a low cost internet access. This would keep the idiot busy and let the village go about its business in peace and quiet. The low cost account did not have usenet. And there was not enough money to get a commercial usenet account. So, they set him up on google newsgroups. After a while, the village idiot got bored with the internet and would again wander the streets of the village bothering people. A wise old guy from the village noticed the idiot would pick up bits of plastic trash and break them into smithereens. He planted the idea in the idiots head that cameras made of plastic would be equally fragile and that the world needed to know about it. He should spread the word via usenet. So, the village has its idiot, but keep him well occupied with plastic ghosts. Unfortunately, the idiot pollutes this and other NG's with such crap. Fortunately, the idiot posts via googlegroups making it a simple matter to filter the idiot out. Unfortunately, some people reply to the idiots posts in any case. It's an imperfect world. -- -- r.p.e.35mm user resource: http://www.aliasimages.com/rpe35mmur.htm -- r.p.d.slr-systems: http://www.aliasimages.com/rpdslrsysur.htm -- [SI] gallery & rulz: http://www.pbase.com/shootin -- e-meil: Remove FreeLunch. -- usenet posts from gmail.com and googlemail.com are filtered out. |

Whenever I buy a camera that is covered with Cashews my nose breaks out. That's why I am looking for a Walnut cavered camera. Oh what a dangerous world photographers live in:- |

Polycarbonates have caused cancer, caused banks to fail, incited world wide terrorism, summoned up the anti-Christ, and wrecked digital photography, beyond all repair. |
