what are those huge black smudges all over the left side and central part of
the photo? Are they supposed to be there?

I can get better pics than that from my broken 20D.

Rocha's gallery is like a nightmare that just gets worse and worse.
What model Holga does he use anyway?

And is it me, or does the color seem a little bit off?

A bit of subject motion too...
g in case anyone misses the obvious smiley... (You can't be too careful
around here these days...)

I don't like to knock photos, but I do wonder what he wanted as the focus
(no pun intended) of this shot.

Is he trying to convey the permanence of the light and trees compared with
the walkers? If so, that would seem odd, since only one tree is in focus,
and the light is out of focus.
?

It looks like there is some kind of building over to the right....I wish he
had taken that. It might be a lot more interesting. (to me, at least)

I must be the only one here who likes it.

He didnt' catch the shutter speed/walker speed just right.
I think you need to have both legs visible and the head
at least vaguely humanoid or the result is disturbing.

I have wasted an awful lot of film trying to get the
right blur. A digital would help: you immediately know
you missed it and after hitting the delete button
you can try again, and again, and again. After wasting
a half-dozen rolls of film I tend to give up on an idea.

And I thought that I was the only one here who didn't like it.....After
going back and looking at it about a dozen times, its beginning to grow on
me......Maybe it isn't so bad after all. At least, I can now see that those
"black blobs" are pedestrians during a time exposure.....
