As for graduation, I think one of the best pieces of advice I can think of

in
general terms it to seek a mentor, someone experienced and accomplished

from
the profession whose work you admire and who is well connected, for

informal
mentorship. Not someone with whom you have a formal relationship such as a
tutor or whatever, but someone you can ask on personal terms and can

relate to
over time. Most people would be flattered to be asked, as long as you keep

your
expectations low and requests very very modest. If the person you ask says

no,
ask another one. A mentor can give you valuable advice and sometimes may

also
offer you links and connections, though my advice is to not have any such
expectations but only expect advice and be thankful for it, and not

request any
more than he/she offer you without your request.

Having taken the mickey out of Martin, now I should say _something_ serious.

The above is very good advice: have you (Martin) become a member of the
BIPP? Very good way to meet the people who may prove helpful in this role.
Worked for me - and I still sometimes run project ideas and chnages to my
'book' past the guy who offered me help in this regard some years back.

Whatever, student days _were_ great, it's true. But real life can be good
too. (He writes, at the end of a truly awful day - but, trust me, you don't
want to hear about it!)

I didn't say what *kind* of golf...

You know, with a good driver you can hammer one *through* the
windmill...

Ah, a bit 'o misdirection eh?
I'm rather fond of frisbee golf. Not to drop names but my ex-neighbor
was Indiana State Champ 2 out of 3 years.

It seems a little extreme.

Extreme? your whining about not being able to decide what to buy is

extreme.
Time to grow up per chance?

Fine. Sorry to have upset you.

I'll get over it, I'm an adult after all.
