Default Assistance with Nikon D70 and SB-24 Flash?

I'd stay away from the SB80 unless you get a really good price on it.
While it will work with your D100, it will not work with later cameras
which make it kind of a dead end unit.

The D70 does not support TTL with any flash except for the SB600 and
SB800. All other flashes must be used as they were before TTL. Set the
flash on A, pick and fstop, and set that fstop on the camera. Or set
everything manually.

I'm having trouble with getting my Nikon SB-24 and my D70 to work
together. I've had the SB-24 forever and it works just fine on other
bodies. D70 is new and I'm confused on settings. Flash seems to have to
be in any mode other than TTL (that would be A or M). Not sure of
correct settings in camera.

Can anybody help?

Thanks.

John
