Bob If you are referring to the CES or Consumer Electronics Show, then yes quite a few folks have heard of it. I actually attended it in 1984. It is primarily a show case for electronics and since the digital age cameras have been included. Over the years camera manufacturers have had an on/off presence there. Some years good some years bad, mainly due to the vague relationship between digital imaging and other consumer electronics. These days the camera manufacturers stick to the photography related trade shows and few are to be found at CES, but plenty of stuff Rich has no interest in can be discovered there. -- Regards, Savageduck |

The Consumer Electronics Show is the largest trade show of any kind on Earth* and does, indeed, draw a great deal of attention from electronics vendors and buyers. It features myriad consumer-grade digital cameras. Attendance in 2016 was 177,000, including more than 7,000 members of the press. *Bloomberg Business News reported in 2015: "The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas has a problem that many events would love to have: It's become too big. And it doesn't want to get any bigger. "With as many as 160,000 visitors to CES‹the world's largest annual trade show‹the Nevada city's sprawling hotels are stretched to the limit. Last January's gathering of gadget-loving geeks somehow packed in a full 10,000 more people than Las Vegas has rooms for them to sleep in." The inability of CES to accommodate everyone who would like to attend caused the Consumer Electronics Association to hold a second show in China in 2015. -- I agree with almost everything that you have said and almost everything that you will say in your entire life. usenet *at* davidillig dawt cawm |
