Default Easy to build Website hosts??

I would like to start a small website to share photos and photography
ideas, but have no skills in the web building department. I have looked
at 1and1.com and siteondemand.com . Does anyone know if they are as easy
as they say? Are there better hosts? Or should I hire a web builder? Thanks

I use 1&1 as my service provider.. I have no complaints..
I've not used their web building tools though..

I recommend that you look for a copy of Net Objects Fusion - you can
sometimes find old versions on magazine cover discs...
that's what I used to build my site...along with jalbum.

NOF is very 'drag and drop' orientated... I built and published my first
website in about 10 mins using it...

I'd certainly not pay someone until I'd had a go

Another route is a hosting account somewhere on a Linux server and
install open source photo gallery software like Coppermine. Many
Linus-based hosting companies include a thing called Fantastico in the
control panel you have for your site and this allows easy installation
of Coppermine or a few other gallery programs.

Cheers,

Wayne

take a look at mymemorymaker.net I created the entire site in 2 months
and it does so much more than show galleries. You can take your photos
and be creative with them. Create streaming image shows with music.

I did it with HTML and ASP.

The HTML is simple, anyone can create a nice looking page. where ytou
may falter is in the logic. ASP allows you to do all the wonderfull
things like databasing, image manipulation, login etc....
