I would likely turn it upside down to have the spider looking up not
down. :-)

I would like to see more of the web, although I know the difficulty of
doing this.

Hi Joseph,

Thanks for the comments, with this type of spider it's actually a
characteristic that they face downward to pounce on their victims. And
yeah it would have been too hard to get the web, I will try again on
another night when the wind isnt blowing so hard.

Hi Joseph,

Thanks for the comments, with this type of spider it's actually a
characteristic that they face downward to pounce on their victims.


I suspected that was the case, and if you were to display the photo to
an audience that would know that, you would be advised to get it right, as
you did. On the other hand, as a purely artistic product, I would turn it
up-side-down. :-)

BTW It is a very nice job.

And yeah it would have been too hard to get the web, I will try again
on another night when the wind isnt blowing so hard.

Hi Mick,

I think you used a very small aperture, because the background is black.
For my opinion the background isn't favorably.
With a mixture of flashlight and natural light, you would get a more
natural picture.

My wife held a torch on it while I focussed. (she wasn't real happy dong
it either LOL)
