If I were starting out today, I'd probably go with F-Spot. When the Linux port of Picasa becomes available, it may be an option. As it is, the perl/Tk script I've been polishing for five years comes closer to doing exactly what I want than anything I've seen. Paul Allen |

Picasa for Linux (and Windows) is free and I think that is the best
