Nikon Nikkor 85mm f/1.4 AF - REAR ELEMENT question
You asked this in the Nikon forum on Photo.net. There are some responses,
why are you wasting hundreds if not thousands of dollars to post here? -hull534 In article , Korgi wrote: Hi everyone, I was cleaning the rear element yesterday and noticed that when pressed slightly, it moves inwards (up to a point), then pops back out again - almost like it was mounted on springs or something. This is the first time I've noticed such a thing - my other (MF) nikkors all seem to have solid-mounted rear elements. Is this a fault or just a design feature? The lens seems to be performing fine. Has anyone noticed a similar thing? Cheers Ron -- "There are hundreds of tiny balls in every machine, and hundreds of machines in every pachinko parlour, and a pachinko parlour on every block in every town in Japan; so there are billions of little balls falling forever, like a chromium-plated hailstorm that never melts." - Clive James |
