Very nice shot, I don't see any real issues with it. Had I tried to shoot that today, the bee would have been under 1/2 inch of ice! Lucky to be in a warmer clime.

Thanks. I do not live in the warmer climes.

somehow, through snipping, or my idiocy, that bee, which was intended to
be in a macro reply, would up in a different location.
the bee was shot on Long Island.
I suspect who the inaccurate snipper was, but.......

Just for fun I only used the "Camera RAW Filter" and the selective
adjustment brush to paint the underside of the wings. Then adjusted
the
shadows, contrast, clarity, and a touch more sharpness.

That one seems a little bit overdone to my eyes.

Just toying about with the jpeg, to illustrate a tool. As you know,
there is a big difference between having a very compressed jpeg or a 24
MB NEF to work on. That was the reason to show the ACR mask shot.

I know.

That

was

lost in the 404 error of the internet.

I checked the link, it sseems to be correct. Try again.

That was much better, and easier to work on. Here is version #1:

Here's a cool version of the NEF file with that mouse-over thing. The
clouds are really there- just brought out in levels:

Neat. Just for the record, I am traveling and using my laptop. Since it
has a 14" screen, which I do not color correct, I use it only for keeper
& possibility decisions.

BTW how do you do the mouse-over thing?

The beauty of having the NEF to work with, gives one a whole bunch of
options. Here is my NEF version #2, which is very different from the
other results.

Question, out of every possibility posited so far, which is the
closest to your personal perception at the moment?
