Trump negotiated a special price for the USA.

Have you factored in the appropriate domestic taxes? In some areas, the
tax on gasoline costs more than the actual price of the gasoline.

Default Europeans have to pay more due to social costs

First off, the European price is probably tax in at about 20% whereas US
prices are announced tax-out.

So the European tax-out price is about €1415.

The exchange rate, at present is about 1.115 US$/€.

So, the European price is really about US$1577 before VAT.

So that's a mere $177 (12.6%) more in Europe. That is accounted for by
the higher operating costs in Europe due to social programs, etc. that
drive up the cost of employing people.

Similar pricing differences in Canada v. US due to our higher socialized
costs.

That would be Canada as well.

You should visit California sometime where on top of gas/road taxes we
have to pay for a "California gas formulation".

What would these social programs be? By the way, health care in Europe
costs far less than in the USA.

and the higher costs of consumer protection

Do US camera purchases still come with "3 months warranty after which you
are on you own", or has market forces/legislation improved that?

"workers rights"

dunno if it is still like this, but in the US you can be told not to come
back to work tomorrow, for no reason, with zero compensation

property rental costs are much much lower in the US than Europe - that's
just a function of them having lower population density

1 year, sometimes longer, which can be extended by an additional 1-2
years via a credit card.
