How to annotate screenshot using iPhoto freeware (three basic tasks)

The alternative is to install iTunes on your laptop ??

The first time iTunes wiped out my iPod, I was mad.
The second time iTunes wiped out my iPod, I cursed like a sailor.
The third time iTunes wiped out my iPod, I gave up ever using it.

Never again will iTunes ever be installed by me.
It's that bad of a program.

I can't imagine that I need to put all my personal files on
the net just to move them from an iPad two inches over to
a PC.

But I will check out this Photo Transfer App & let

It is a nasty overblown unashamedly money-minded piece of work. But it
seems sort of needed for quite a few things.

rise uP! Labs", etc.

I wonder though. Why can't I just connect the USB cord to
the Windows PC and transfer the photos like I would from
a USB thumb drive?

Connect an iDevice using its power/sync cord and you will see it in
Windows Explorer and canact on the pics

Why? Dropbox and some of the other cloud services, including iCloud and
photo streaming, all provide reasonable service, and if you don't use
the *public* folders as a way to share your images, they are still
available for transfer between iOS/Android devices and desktop/laptop.

Many times you end up having to pay for decent software, particularly
when freeware doesn't deliver what some of the features of the pay apps.
If you always insist on freeware what you get is typically worth what
you paid for it.
