Hi Mike,

Yes I have. First, I enlarged the negatives to 5x7 so I would have
some working room. I suppose others with a steadier hand could work
with smaller negatives, but I cannot. I made up a stock solution (the
% of which I can get when I go home this evening). From that I made up
diilutions of 1:2, 1:3, 1:4, 1:5 and 1:10. The latter was mostly for
learning purposes. Using a very fine brush, I think it was a 00 or 0000
brush, I would put small amounts of the weaker dilutions on the areas to
be altered. As it dried and I was able to determine the degree of
darkening, I would add more as needed. It can be removed with a wet
tissue, but be careful. In any case, make a copy negative before
proceeding.

How do you mean, "fix" ? I've used if for selective dodging of the
image and it works well. Nice way to add a highlight to a portrait.
